Social Care.
The West of Scotland Consortium works with local Colleges of Further Education,
the Scottish Qualifications Authority, the Social Care Association and the Scottish
Institute for Residential Child Care to develop training in the Social Care sector.
Work in this area has taken different forms and includes the development of a
Code of Practice for the Delivery of the HNC in Social Care and the provision
of information for employers and careers services on relevant qualifications and
training opportunities for social care staff . Details of these two areas of work
