Direct Practice Outcomes- DP2

In undertaking DP2 placements, students will inevitably undertake activities relevant to assessment of the practice requirements in DP1. The assessment focus for DP2 will be on the meeting of practice requirements identified for DP2 and the continued demonstration of the practice requirements evidenced in DP1. If the student's practice does not continue to evidence the practice requirements identified as a minimum for achievement in DP1, then it is legitimate that they are re-considered for assessment purposes within DP2.

By completion of DP2, students will require to have evidenced:

• Integration of social work values in practice
• Acquisition and application of the key area of knowledge for social work
• Reflection upon and critical analysis of practice
• Transferability of knowledge, skills and values in practice
• Meeting the practice requirements for the six core competences

Where a student has been unable to meet those requirements, a final assessment decision will be made by the Programme Assessment Board. (Refer to the Assessment Pack)
